Cat pet - wish to take to the USA from Mumbai, India?

I wish to take my pet cat to the USA from Mumbai, India - can anyone provide the information about the procedure and about the Vet doctor, who can provide necessary certificates? Thanks LM

2. Um, I did this once with my horse but my Grandad shipped him to England from Japan. Have you got an exceptionally rich relative?
3. contact the US embassy and find out what the requirements are --- think u will have to have the cat in quarantine for a period of time to get it in the USA -- we have losts of cats here that need good homes -- maybe u shud consider leavin ur animal with a friend and get one here?

6. I've never seen that happen. Are you coming on a student visa, or a visa and plan to remain here in USA? If your cat "neutered"? Does it have all its shots? It may be held for 90 days. Ask your own vet and the embassy. Pets don't travel (air) with their owners, they are in a compartment in the back (so you would need a strong carrier). And it may be difficult for your pet to not eat for as long as you are in the air and then to be waiting at some baggage pickup for you to come..
