Cat Information

does anybody know how to keep a pet cat away from someone that is annoying as fuk?

My mom always babysits this one annoying as hell girl and she stays over our house for about a week every month. My mom loves this girl and takes her to work whenever she's over. But it gets worse whenever i'm away at school and she comes home for lunchbreak she takes advantage of the fact that I'm at school and my mom lets her play with my pet cat. But that is only the beginning, my cat absolutely hates this girl he always runs away from her but she chases after him and just goes "HEHEHEHEHE" till she finally catches him. so basically she harrasess him. everyday i just wanna punch that girl. now i need help how can i keep her away from him even when i'm gone? I can't lock him in my room because once i lock my door u can only unlock it from inside and the hinges are also inside so i can't lock it when i'm at school and break it down when i'm home. HELP!!

  1. I suggest you have a conversation with your mom and explain your feelings about this house guest. This is your pet, not hers, and it's not right for her to harass your cat like that. Try to be patient, the girl may be too young or inexperienced to understand how to treat animals. If you can't convince your mom to keep her away from your cat, at least ask her to explain to the girl how to properly behave around animals. Your cat is probably very stressed when she is in the house, and that is never a healthy or happy situation for a furry friend. Good luck
  2. Lay down some ground rules. Tell the girl to leave your cat alone. Ask your mother to please not let her terrorize your cat. Or shut your cat up in your room without locking, and tell them not to go in there while you're away. I'm sure if you just talk to your mother calmly and explain to her how you feel about the little girl bothering your cat, she will understand. If not, you might just have to crate your cat while your gone, or find some way to keep him/her away from the little girl, or vice versa. I hate it when little children bother my animals. Good luck, hope that helped some. I think having a good conversation with your mom should help.
  3. If you already HONESTLY (Don't push the dilemma or exaggerate it) told your mom the problem and she just slides it over her head, then I think you need to talk to this girl yourself. She thinks just because your mom loves her a whole lot, she has no limits around the house. Don't be too harsh, if she is very young, but be firm enough to let her know that she can not harass your cat when you are not home. You might want to do this in front of your mom, so your mom knows all the rules and this girl cannot bend any when you aren't around. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  4. why dont you ask your parents if someone can babysit the cat why your at school because of the little girl?
  5. simple, tell the little girls mother, and your mother that you saw a tape worm coming out of his butt, and cut his hair, and say he has mange. The little girls mother would make sure that she never touches your cat again.
  6. I surprised your cat doesn't scratch her eyes out my would he hates kids. maybe you should tell her mother your cat doesn't like kids and your afraid it's going to hurt her. and you told the little girl that but she doesn't listen and that it will be her own fought not if but when it happens that should work.
  7. ask a friend to babby sit it or their parents or you could lock it in the garage or basement for a little while
  8. ask the girl to stop
  9. I would ask your mom not to let the girl play with your cat. Also, try telling the little girl to leave the cat alone. Can you leave the cat in the basement or bathroom when she is over? Sounds like my neighbor - I just tell her to leave the cat alone or it will bite her.
  10. Tell your mom that this girl is torturing you cat and its not a good idea to let her come over. That girl is abusing your cat, and you should either tell her that its wrong what shes doing (she might not know better) or just tell her to seriously stay away from your cat and your property.
  11. well if the cat does not like the little girl, your cat will continue to run away and the little girl will get what is coming to her. one day the cat is not going to put up with it and scratch the hell out of the little girl. you need to tell your mom to keep the little girl away from the cat. cats should not be tormented when they want to be left alone. good luck with this one. sounds to me like i would hate this little girl too!
