What is a good pet similar to a cat?
I really want another pet cat except I'm afraid that my current cat will be too territorial. What is another nice 4 legged pet? I dont want a dog, or a rabbit by the way ^ ^, Id like one that could run around the house while im away from home

- A ferret. I have heard it said that a ferret is somewhat like a cat...they can actually be rather affectionate and playful. However, their care is much different from a cat's, and unless their scent glands are removed they STINK
- how about a chicken lol i dont know
- Goat, Cow
- ahhh - just read the last part of your post. My parents have a dog that is called a japanese chin. (chin means cat in Japan) they are cool. passionate like a dog, independent like a cat. People who own ferrets rave about them but I hear they can smell but make great pets. - never owned one. GOOD LUCK!
- a ferret and a chinchilla!
- I'd say a hamster or guinea pig
- Why not a Dog??? here are some cute dogs....your cat will get along with a dog How about a australian shepherd http://www.pups4sale.com.au/australian_shepherd_pups_01.jpg http://horsecreekaussies.com/images/Past%20Pups%20Page/Kool%20Maggie%20Red%20Merle%20w%20white%20face%20Male.jpg How about a Corgi dog they look like hamsters...... http://www.corgibreeder.com/uploaded/images/corgi_puppy/corgi-puppies-sidebyside.jpg http://cdn-www.dailypuppy.com/media/dogs/anonymous/Teddy_Welsh_Corgi_01.jpg_w450.jpg Well i hope this helps but i don't think you are going to find another animal that can run around the house while you are not at home without being a dog or a cat.....But if i was you i would get a dog!! :) Good Luck!!
- A ferret!! They are fantastic.
- ferrets, according to scientific research,is the animals closest to cats when it comes to behavioral aspects. they are perfect and they meet your expectations.they are fun to play with, active, curious, and most especially, fun to be with just like cats. thinking of getting one?: http://bcoy1cpb.pacdat.net/for_sale.htm want to know how to take care of one?: http://www.jjhobbies.com/CareSheets/FerretCareSheet/tabid/86/Default.aspx cheers!
- Hedgehog!
- Ferrets are a good choice. Have you checked into skunks? They have a lot of the same tendencies as cats and can be trained to use the litter also. They do need both dog and cat vaccines tho. I am strongly thinking about getting one a few years down the road.
