Do I need a health certificate to fly with my cat on Southwest Airlines?
I have a flight tomorrow evening with my cat and am a little concerned as to whether I need a health certificate of any sort before taking the flight. Please advise. thank you!

- No However, I hope you have everything else in order - correct sized pet carrier, boarding fee paid, etc....
- A health certificate for whom, you or your cat?
- Many airlines do require a health certificate for pets, but Southwest's website makes no mention of it so it appears that they do not. If you want to know for sure, I would call the airline.
- According to this http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/animals_faq.html Southwest does not require a health certificate or any other documentation from the Customer’s veterinarian for pets to travel.
- If traveling in the cabin with you, no - however, in cargo all animals transported need to have vaccination records.
