Cat Information

Cat health?

My cat has been gaging for 3 days now. I dont know if it is a fur ball or whether he has got something stuck in his throat? How long do fur balls normally take for a cat to throw up? He is not gaging all the time...only when he lies down or is sleeping. Please, please help me...I dont know whether I should take him to the vet or just wait and see?

  1. Take him to the vet.
  2. take that poor thing to the vet ASAP! that is not normal! hair balls only take no more than 5 minutes to hack up, but sometimes the try to cough up "dry hair balls" where they will cough, but nothing will come out. That type of coughing will only last usully no longer than 5 minutes.
  3. if it was hair ball it would be up by now, might have something stuck in throat
