What Is The Best Cat Litter To Put In My LitterHouse Litter Box?
I bought a new type of hooded cat litter box and would like to know the best cat litter to use that absorbs odor, is less dusty, better for the environment, safe for my cat. Is a corn type or fibre best. And how to introduce it gradually to my cat.

- Wood stove pellets are the absolute best litter to use. Not only do they totally remove the urine odor but they absorb the moisture, the pan dumps out dry and the best part? You can buy a 40 pound bag for about FOUR TO FIVE DOLLARS! It's the same compressed pine sawdust pellets as Feline Pine so anyone using that stop wasting your money! Nothing really kills poop odor plus I don't want my cats to end up with poopy paws so I scoop any poops out daily. With four cats and three litter boxes I dump the pans out after about a week or so. Since the litter's so cheap I don't mind changing it often. During cooler months you can find them at Home Depot, Lowes and other homestores and most grocery stores like Safeway, Fred Meyer and Albertsons stores here in the Northwest US. You can also find them year round at feed stores as farmers/horse owners use them in horse stalls as well.
- i find that wood pelates are the best. they r not comonly used but they r biodegradible and they dnt smell. wen they get wet they expand. it is also great for the garden. u can get it from bbq stores
- Whatever litter you decide, my experience is that you'll still need additional help to eliminate odor regardless of the brand litter. After reading about a product called Innofresh Pet odor absorber, I started using it and the product works very well - got rid of that pesty litter box odor. I just clip a couple of these onto the side of litter box and that's it. It uses activated charcoal. You can get these from company at www.innofresh.com
