I have wet cat litter ground into my carpet, I need tips On getting it out,Can You Help?
Stupid Thing, Didn't realize there was any cat litter there and I got it wet cleaning it. Damed If It didn't turn the Beige Carpet Dark brown. And Sticky, Like Mud. Used resolve On it thinking that would help, But That only Made it worse, because The rug was Wet, and The resolve Is Liquid, Which Didn't Help Matters Much. I obviously need to let it dry, Just want tips On what else to do. Thanks In Advance.

- Let it dry, like you said, and then loosen it up by sweeping the carpet with a broom. Then vacumn your carpet. This may need to be repeated a few times. Whatever you do, do not wet it again.
- Use a stiff brush or broom to get as much of the litter up as possible... Let it dry, then break it up by using a dull scraper, putty knife, or even a plastic cooking utensil... again ... get as much of it up as you can. Once you have the bulk of it up... you will probably still have some stain in the fibers... a good heavy duty cleaner should take care of the rest. Worst case scenario, you might need to rent a carpet shampoo, or steam clean machine. This can be cleaned up... its not permanent, heheheh... (you'd be surprised how many times ive been asked how to clean a carpet BURN, usually from someone setting a metal pail with hot ashes from the fireplace, right on the carpet, lol) Good Luck
- What's wrong with a vacuum? you haven't said anything about that, have you tried?
- if ya cant scrub it out (sounds like ya cant if you tried Resolve), you might just rent a Rug Doctor or whatever carpet cleaner your local Walmart or Home Depot rents. I prefer the one that Home Depot rents over Rug Doctor... that just my preference though - either would probably work fine.
