- yes, look in your local shelters, there are thousands and thousands needing homes! you can not only change a life, but save one by adopting!
- Your local Cats Protection should be able to help as they always need good homes for cats and kittens. This link has contact details of all cat rescue organisations in the UK, which are listed by area to make it easier for you to find one close to where you live. http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html Hope this helps.
- london has plenty of pet shops, but try shelters, i recently bought i kitten from a pet shop as there were no kittens available at cats protection or shelter. *(btw - shelters usually get more kittens during the summer as this is the usual breeding season, so try near then if your not too desperate to get a kitten now)*
- Check out Catchat.org, all of the rescues and rehoming centres are on here, just use the drop down menu on the left of the home page and put your county in there, then just click on "Rescue Me" or "Top Cat" banners for descriptions, photos and contact details. There's loads of advice and stuff on here too - a really good first site for cat owners.
- You should check out your local RSPCA and Cats Protection Shelters. Don't buy from newspapers or ads in the newsagents window, they're unlikely to be tested, neutered and vaccinated like cats from a shelter are. http://www.catchat.org has listings for cats in your area.
