What is the best environmentally responsible cat litter?
We switched from "Scoop Away" to this one called "World's Best Cat Litter" which is made of corn, biodegradable, and organic (good for cat paws). However.....I can smell his poopy from across the hall! Anyone have a recommendation for a environmentally responsible cat litter that conceals the icky cat poop smell?

- newspaper pellets are environment friendly, but add some baking soda if it doesnt cover up the smell enough. p.s. covered litterboxes just make the smell worse because they trap odors inside, and its worse for the kitty.
- Think they are all pretty much enviromentally friendly. Most just made of clay and stuff.
- The vet I use to work for always told me the best was the cheapest clay litter available usually a walmart a pet store or family dollar. but as far as the smell i totally understand but bakingsoda is awesome if you scoop the box daily an poor in each time.
- i have this litterbox called cat genie (www.catgenie.com) you place it next to a toilet or washer and it cleans itself and makes the poop a liquid waste and flushes it down the toilet or the drain of the washer, look at the webiste it will tell you everything. good luck.
