How do I get the smell of cat litter out of my house?

I have 9 cats. I was away for 2 months for an emergency. I had a cat sitter. My home stinks of litter, the walls and everything. There is no urine or poop. The house just smells.I have washed the floors and walls. Any ideas how to get the smell out?

1. the only thing you can really do is not let it get that bad to begin with. I know it obviously wasnt your fault so the next best thing is to just air out the house, all the windows and doors open (with screens of course to keep the cats from getting out). Eventually the smell should go away or dissipate. You can also try using litter that doesnt smell.
2. yes first off get you some oust its in a can and its sold in the air freshner aile spray that in your home and then wash your walls down with lysol in the brown bottle and mop your floors in it also !!!!
3. Maybe look online. But there is a spray in the shops. I had that, your cats are probably weeing everywher without you no-ing! It happened to me, put some orange peel down, they hate it!! Good luck, Ab J x
4. Air it out...air it out...air it out. Experiment with litter. Use Oust. Light candles and air it out.
5. Does it smell like feces and urine? Or does it smell like clean cat litter? Try using Nature's Miracle - it has enzymes that will kill the remaining urine so the cats won't be attracted to the same place. You may need a blacklight to find all of the "accidents" around the house. I wonder if your house always smelled like that, but you didn't notice because you were always in it. That happens to me sometimes. Finally, if it smells like "clean" litter, then maybe try getting something dust free. I used to use the clay scoopable litter - the dust settles everywhere and makes everything smell like litter.
