Cat Information

If you had pet birds would your pet cat eat them?

I have a pet cat and i don't know if she'll eat my pet birds.

  1. Put the birds in a cage? Don't leave your cat alone with them? You can't ask your cat this question, so how are we supposed to answer it? Common sense.
  2. I had a cat and about 10 birds at the same time. He never took an interest in them and left them alone. Maybe try introducing her to the cage and the birds so she doesn't get startled by the noise and the flapping wings.
  3. do not put them outside of their cage unless your cat was not in the same room but then again some cats do eat birds. If your cats like hunting then I would not suggest that you get one because then they would. I would use a spray bottle each time that your cats tried to eat your birds but that is just my point of view.
  4. Yes, just make sure the cage isn't where the cat can get it. Not all cats bother birds though.
  5. mine would sure try
  6. Our old cat killed them didn't eat them. She worked at the cage one weekend after we had moved in to our new house. Like asking a food addict not to touch the cookies while you step out of the room. It is instinct.
