How do I get my 38-year old pet-hating Chinese girlfiend to stop bad mouthing my pet Dalmatian and pet cat?
She is obsessed with germs. She hates dogs and cats because they smell funny or weird, stare at her, bark, scratch, slobber, and they just plain messy. She also considers them dangerous and time consuming. She would rather have a baby than to share a home with a pet lover.

- dump her. There's something wrong with people that don't love animals.
- She obviously has no respect for what you love. Tell her you aren't going to get rid of your pets just because she's paranoid. Also tell her that dogs' tongues are actually cleaner than humans, so she doesn't ned to be afraid of germs. :-)
- When babys wet their diapers, they smell funny or weird. Babies stare curiously at people. Babies cry and drool. And babies are messy. Babies and pets are pretty much alike. Tell her that lol.
- Put a rope around her body & gage her until she agrees to stop
- The best way is to put her in the back yard in a pen. When she shows that she can behave and get along with everybody, let her come back in the house. ~
- I have no definite answer but I can tell you the reason behind why Chinese people hate dogs. It's very sad. I was born in Hong Kong. From a very young age I was told by my parents and grandparents that dogs are low-grade animals, they like to chase people, bite people, and they are very dirty (carrying diseases). Because of that I was scared of dogs for a very long time (until I was 25 when I met my husband who was born in Canada, and he likes dogs). Eventually I was able to overcome my fear of dogs, now I have 3 of my own. I find them to be the sweetest animals on earth! I love them as if they were my own children. My husband's co-worker who is also a Chinese (about 45 years old) hates dogs. Also some of my Chinese neighbours who are old, hate dogs. But the younger generation seems to be okay with dogs. I think it has something to do with the person's upbringing (aka early brain-washing). If the belief is deeply rooted in their hearts, it is very hard to change them. But it is not impossible. Just remember: "Chinese people who hate dogs are told by their parents that dogs are extremely dirty, that they bite, that they chase people, and that they are low-grade animals which are not worth wasting time with. Their parents are told by their parents the same thing, and their grandparents, their great-grandparents. So on and so forth..."
- tell her to stop, be mean to her i'm a chinese and i know that whan you yell or being mean she will listen to you
