- I dunno if he'll check her for free but I think he can run a test to find out.
- Just say, "Vet, is my cat pregnant?"
- Just say "Oh, i've been noticing a difference in her recently, and i was wonder if maybe you had noticed something different about her? i think she might be pregnant, but i'm not sure.." :)
- Ususally if you just ask while you are talking to them they can feel the stomach and tell you. they might want to take tests but usually that is just precautionary. I would just trust thier opinion after the feel around.
- Just ask! If they want to do tests, ask how much it will cost to run them before they do them. If it costs too much, you can refuse to have them done. You are the customer in the vet's office, they will listen to what you have to say.
- You won't get a free checkup. That's part of being a pet owner. If you don't take steps to avoid a pregnancy before hand, then you reap the consequences of that decision later. I believe your vet can do a relatively quick and relatively inexpensive test right at the office. But...why would it be free?
- The vet should be able to feel the stomach of the cat and tell you if she is pregnant.... if you are saying that your cat is only 4 weeks old then you don't have anything to worry about they don't come into their first season until they are about 6 months old. Just FYI for future note, if you cat comes into heat and gets pregnant following the pregnancy they are fertile again.... they multiple quickly.... get her fixed please!
- http://cats.about.com/cs/healthissues/f/catpregnant.htm That should answer all your ???'s.
- You MUST tell the vet if you think the cat could be pregnant. There are some tests the vet can do, and others he shouldn't do at all if she's pregnant ... and if he 'charges' for the test to see if she's pregnant, it should be very little in cost, but vets do this all the time and it's fairly inexpensive ... and how is it that you can't TELL she's pregnant if she's four weeks along? She should be 'showing' by now, and her nipples should be enlarging, too. YOU check, and do thell the vet even if you still don't know for sure.
- ask your vet if shes preggo the can find out for you (have 2 cats of my own) and depending how far along u can feel each lil kitten in her stomack and a question 4 weeks ? ur cat ?
- Our vet checks the overall health of our cats anyway, and that includes an abdominal examination. she will be swollen around the belly and her teats may be beginning to change and get bigger anyway. the vet will probably tell you!
- Talk to your vet at the check-up. Don't worry.
