- They help prevent unnecessary surgery.
- research the internet and come up with your own answer or try reading a book...in a place...called the LIBRARY
- Interesting you should ask this. I was talking to a doctor a few days ago. He has been in the medical field for 40 years. He was commenting about CAT Scans. His thoughts on them were he was not sure what may occur in the next 50 years or so. CAT Scans are very high in radiation often 10 times greater than x-rays. According to him it will be very interesting how CAT Scans effect the human race.
- X-rays only tell what is going on in just one part of the body. OK you hurt your leg you go to the doctor and he makes an x-ray of your leg to see if is broken. If it's not broken, he doesn't know what is wrong. With an MRI you can see inside your whole body. But if it's just your leg that hurts, they will only look at the leg and can see what is wrong with it.
